Real Madrid Mallorca : Odds reflect Mourinho confidence as La Liga winners party at Bernabeu

It is going to be party time for Real Madrid this weekend when they host Mallorca safe in the knowledge that they are the newly crowned Champions of Spain, as Bet365 make them overwhelming odds on favourites, and also release free bets on the final weekend in Spain.

On the 2nd May, Jose Mourinho’s men went to Athletic Bilbao and secured a comfortable 3-0 victory, making it impossible for Barcelona to catch them.

They of course celebrated after this win – and at times during the 2-1 win at Granada after this – but Sunday evening is where Madrid will truly mark their first La Liga title since 2008.

Bet365 will offer free bets worth £200/€200 to spend on any La Liga fixture this weekend, including all the action involving Real Madrid! Exclusive to

It is a celebration that they fully deserve too. They have been the best team in Spain this season and considering Barcelona are their nearest rivals, this is no small feat. The Special One has without doubt worked his magic once again.

The squad is so strong at Madrid right now that this needs to be a golden era for them. They need more and more success, something they are extremely capable of.

For now though, they will be focusing on winning this weekend, ensuring they finish the season on the back of seven consecutive league wins.

As for Mallorca, they have plenty to play for on this final day and there is no doubt that they will be cursing their luck that they have such a tough task.

Going into this weekend, they find themselves 6th in the table, just short of European football. They know that if they get something this weekend though, they could climb to the Europa League, even Champions League places.

Other results do need to go their way too, but victory at Madrid would not only be a fantastic way to end the season, but would more than likely secure European football.

With regards to their recent form, there is no reason why they can’t go into this one confident of an upset. Mallorca have won each of their last four games, conceding just one goal in this sequence.

As much as Madrid will say they are 100% focused on victory – they could reach 100 points with a win – their heads may be turned enough for Mallorca to give this a real go.

It should be a cracking match and it gets underway at 7pm on Sunday evening.
