Brazil will be out to set up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with Argentina when they take on Paraguay in the last 8 of the Copa America on Saturday night.
Having topped a group that contained Venezuela, Peru and Colombia, Dunga’s men will be confident of progressing.
Brazil, 9 times winners of the tournament, beat both Peru and Venezuela, 2-1 with a 1-0 to Colombia not enough to prevent them winning group C.
The defeat to Colombia came at a price however with Neymar’s action at the final whistle leading to his suspension for the rest of the tournament.
Brazil vs Peru Match Highlights
With the Barcelona man out, the creative and goal-scoring threat will fall on the shoulders of Philippe Coutinho and his new club team-mate, Roberto Firmino.
Firmino agreed to join Liverpool earlier this week just a day after he scored the winner for his country against Venezuela, however the attacking midfielder will need to be careful on Saturday night as he, along with Fernandinho, Filipe Luis and Thiago Silva is one booking away from suspension.
Paraguay Match Highlights
Dunga is unlikely to shuffle his pack too much for the game and could even name an unchanged line-up.
Paraguay meanwhile will also be missing a suspended star with Richard Ortiz out, his place is expected to go to Osmar Molinas with Nestor Ortigoza his partner at the back.
Lucas Barrios should start in attack with Nelson Valdez alongside him as Ramon Diaz’s, one of only 3 unbeaten sides left in the competition, stick to the same starting XI that featured in the draw with Uruguay.
In addition to drawing with Uruguay, Paraguay also came from 2-0 down against Argentina and beat Jamaica on their way to second spot in their group. They have previous form against their more illustrious rivals having beaten them on route to the 2011 final.
