Things have started looking up for Chelsea who have been in resurgent form under the guidance of interim boss Guus Hiddink. The Dutchman’s impact has been huge since he took over Jose Mourinho as the club’s latest manager.
The Blues are currently on a ten-game unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League and would be looking to further extend this sensational run when they visit Southampton this Saturday.

John Obi Mikel is one of those many Chelsea players who have rediscovered themselves under Hiddink with the Nigerian international praising Hiddink for making the players feel much more relaxed than they were at the start of the season.
Although a top four place is a long shot, Chelsea are still in with a chance to secure a place in the Europa League which means that there’s still a lot to fight for as they get ready to take on the Saints who are in sixth place in the league standings, one point behind Manchester United.
Southampton have not been able to keep a clean sheet against the Blues in the last 11 league meetings but Saints manager, Ronald Koeman feels that the reigning English champions have to be wary of facing his players who are on form.
In the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge, Southampton turned out to be 3-1 victors and Koeman says that the players head into the home game with the same mentality.
However, the Saints need to know that they don’t boast a great home record against the Blues who have defeated them four times in the last seven trips to Saint Mary’s Stadium.
Southampton have not conceded in the last nine hours and fourteen minutes which means that the Blues forwards will have to work really hard to find the back of the net.
