Its all set to be a monumental tussle at Liverpool as Brendan Rogers comes up against the new man at the helm of the Red Devils, David Moyes

Both starts have made unbeaten starts to the season with United impressive 4-1 winners over Swansea in their opening game before being cancelled out in a tactical battle with Chelsea on Monday, a result that continued David Moyes search for a win over one of England’s big guns.

The Reds have made an impressive start to the season following wins over Stoke and Aston Villa but the visit of the defending champions will provide their sternest test to date, but one that captain Steven Gerrard is relishing

Brendan Rodgers is set to be without Cissokho for up to 6 weeks after he damaged ankle ligaments 10 minutes into his first start for the club.

Allen meanwhile was also injured in the game and is set to miss out although Toure could be fit to start with the groin injury suffered against the league one side not as bad as first feared. Martin Skrtel is on standby to step in should the Ivorian fail to make it.

Luis Suarez is edging closer to a return to first team action as he enters the 8th game of his suspension while Sebastian Coates is a long-term absentee.

United meanwhile will once again be without Rafael with Phil Jones set to once again deputise at right back. The youngster is expected to bit fit after taking a blow to the back during Monday’s goalless draw with Chelsea.

Nani, Jonny Evans and Javier Hernandez all missed the clash with Jose Mourinho’s side but are expected to be in the squad while Wayne Rooney should start after his impressive showing on Monday.
