Real Madrid are lining up a January move for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez in January with Monaco forward Radamel Falcao also on their radar.
The La Liga giants are keen to bolster their striking options in the New Year with manager Carlo Ancelotti unconvinced over French International Karim Benzema.
The French striker was given his chance to stake a claim to be the first choice striker following the summer departures of Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon to Napoli during the summer.
However the France international has far failed to inspire the Bernabeu faithful and was recently booed by his home fans. Should the 25 year old continue to struggle then Ancelotti will ponder his options.
The departure of talented playmaker Mesut Ozil to Premier League outfit Arsenal has bolstered the Real kitty to the tune of £42.5 million and the money has already being promised to the former PSG coach to solve his striker dilemma.
And that could spell trouble for either Liverpool or Monaco with Suarez and former Atletico Madrid striker Falcao top of their list according to Spanish sports daily Marca.
A January move for either striker holds great appeal, not only giving their goal scoring prowess but also due to the fact that neither player will be playing in European club competitions for their respective clubs this season.
Liverpool are prepared for fresh interest in Luis Suarez when the window re-opens in January despite the players recent declaration that he was happy.
Suarez, publicly declared an interest in playing for Los Blancos during the summer, was the subject of two failed bids from Arsenal before the close of the transfer window and was also the subject of interest from Real.
The former Ajax man has made no secret in the past of his desire to play for a Champions League club in the past however, the Reds made it clear he would not be sold this season and the striker was forced into a u-turn by insisting he was happy to stay at Anfield.
The Reds, currently top of the Premier League, signalled their intention to mount a challenge this season with some astute signings during the summer and they want Suarez, set to return against Manchester United in the Capital One Cup later this month following a 10 game ban, to spearhead that title charge.
Should a move for Suarez fail then Real could move for Monaco’s Radamel Falcao despite the Colombian only signing for the newly promoted French side during the summer.
