City currently have a 9 goal advantage over the Reds and are in pole position to claim their second title in three years, however Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has refused to give up the chase, insisting that the pressure is all on Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

“It is a tough ask for City. No matter how it works, at this stage of the season to play three games that really, really matter is a real, real tough ask,” Rodgers said.

“City need to win all their games which means they will have won five games in a row; they have done that just once this season in the league.

“It will be a wee bit new for them as well. It is certainly not over by a long way.”

Rodgers, who side lost for the first time in the league in 2014 to Chelsea last time out, have won 11 of their last 12 games and they will need to win their final games as well as overturn a 9 goal difference if they are to win the league.

They will have to do so without Jordan Henderson who serves the final game of his three match ban for his red card against City while Jose Enrique is once again missing with a knee injury.

Luis Suarez, with just two goals in his last 6 games, will resume his partnership with the fit-again Daniel Sturridge and the pair will be vital for a Liverpool side that needs goals and wins in their final two games.

Palace meanwhile lost 2-0 to City last time out but the club had already secured their safety. Tony Pulis’ men have enjoyed a stunning 6 months under the former Stoke manger and they are not finished yet with the prospect of a top half finish still very much on the cards.

The club will have a fully fit squad for the clash with the Reds with Kagisho Dikgacoi having shaken off the knock that saw him miss the clash with City.

Liverpool won 3-1 when the two sides met in December however Crystal Palace have won the last two meetings with the Reds at Selhurst Park.
