Wenger claimed the award after guiding his side to four straight league wins in March with Olivier Giroud, grabbed six goals during the month to claim the player award.

The Gunners have won their last 6 league games to move to within 7 points of leaders, Chelsea and they can move into 2nd place, for 48 hours at least, with a win over the Reds.

Wenger has a slight worry over Danny Welbeck ahead of the game. The England forward is struggling with a knee problem and could potentially join Mikel Arteta, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy and Abou Diaby on the sidelines.

Jack Wilshere is also set to miss out while the Reds will be without Steven Gerrard and Martin Skrtel due to suspension.

Both players are banned for three games following the clash with Manchester United. Gerrard was sent off during that game while Skrtel received a retrospective ban for stamping.

The defeat against United, the club’s first in the league in 2015, saw Brendan Rodgers men slip five points off the pace in the race for the Champions league spot.

The club in dire need of a win in London will be boosted by the inclusion of Daniel Sturridge. The forward was initially thought to out for a month with a hip injury but he has responded well and is set to be included.

So too will Raheem Sterling after he missed England’s draw with Italy due to a toe injury. The forward, who’s future has been the subject of much debate after contract talks were put on hold, could revert to a more attacking role if Sturridge is not deemed fit to start from the beginning.

Adam Lallana will be assessed but is reportedly set to be fit while Lucas could start in the middle of the park after returning from injury against United.
