Manchester City ready to bid £100m for star duo

According to reports, Manchester City owners have given manager Manuel Pellegrini the assurance of enough cash to bring in new players this summer following a poor 2014/15 campaign in which the Citizens were unable to lift the league title and go far in the Champions League knockout stages.

Now, the cash laden English giants have been given the green light to mount an audacious bid to acquire the services of Juventus star Paul Pogba and also to test the resolve of Liverpool by mounting a similar bid for England international, Raheem Sterling.

The Liverpool winger is not keen on staying at Anfield and has so far not signed a contract extension which clearly means that Liverpool will be forced into dealing with a club at some point during the summer transfer window. The young winger has attracted loads of interest from a host of European sides but is rumoured to be keen on making a move to either of the Manchester clubs.
