Liverpool to sell Uruguayan flop

In a piece of news that won’t even cause major ripples throughout Europe, Liverpool are set to let go of defender, Sebastian Coates whose career has come to a stand still ever since he signed for the Reds.

The central defender arrived in Anfield back in 2011 from Uruguayan giants Nacional and was billed up to be the perfect partner in defense for Jamie Carragher. However, constant injuries and inability to cope with the pace of English football saw Coates limited to a fringe role in the squad and last season, he was farmed out to Sunderland for whom he played just 13 times.

However, the Black Cats are keen on having the player on a permanent basis and won’t have to pay a fortune to get their man. And although Liverpool are about the sell the player on a loss, Brendan Rodgers won’t have any sleepless nights when the deal goes through considering the fact that the player didn’t really impress in four years at the club.
