According to reports, Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers has held crunch talks with the club’s owners, requesting them to do everything in their power to sign players who are going to help him in the team’s rebuilding process following an uninspiring 2014/15 campaign.
And, the manager has highlighted Nathaniel Clyne as one of those players he believes is going to help change the club’s fortunes ahead of the new campaign. The youngster is currently under contract at Southampton with whom he showed really promising displays last season.
The player is reportedly keen on leaving Saint Mary’s and although is getting a lot of interest from Manchester United, with no offer forthcoming yet, is willing to explore other options, including the prospect of coming to Anfield where he will be reunited with Adam Lalana who signed for the Reds last summer.
And the Reds are confident that they can get their hands on the full back for just 11 million pounds.
