Former Spain Under 21 international, Luis Alberto, is set to report back to his parent club, Liverpool FC after his two year loan spell with Spanish La Liga outfit Malaga CF was cut short.
The 22 year old attacking midfielder was signed from Seville for 6.8 million pounds back in 2013 and arrived at Anfield with a reputation of one of the most technically gifted midfielders in Spain. Sadly though, despite numerous chances to shine, the youngster failed to live up to his potential and never really adapted to English football.
In a bid to get him going a bit, Brendan Rodgers sent Alberto to Malaga where he was expected to recoup some form which he had lost in England. Last season, the midfielder played 15 games for the Andalucian giants and managed to score just two goals.
And although he showed sparks of form throughout the campaign, did not justify another season in Spain and has hence been sent back to Liverpool.
