Liverpool FC’s summer transfer window plans have really gathered a lot of pace in recent hours. After announcing the acquisition of Brazil international Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim last night, the Reds are now closing in on Southampton right back, Nathaniel Clyne as the young Englishman edges closer to Anfield.
Reports claim that the Saints have accepted the Merseyside club’s bid believed to be in the region on 13 million pounds. The 24-year-old has been in sublime form for Southampton over the past couple of seasons and Brendan Rodgers has identified as the perfect replacement for Glenn Johnson who is set to leave the club for parts unknown so far.
With personal terms already agreed upon, all that remains is a few pieces of documentation to be finalised as Clyne sets to join James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan and Roberto Firmino as the latest player drafted by the Reds to feature next season.
