Liverpool set to move for Aymen Abdennour

Liverpool are really interested in getting things done early this summer. Following a poor last campaign, the Reds needed to bring in quality players to Anfield in order to make amends for next season and following the acquisition of Roberto Firmino a few days back, Brendan Rodgers is now looking to add a stable defender in the squad in a bid to add stability to the backline.

Reports claim that the Reds are looking into the possibility of bringing Tunisia international, Aymen Abdennour to Anfield. The defender is currently under contract at Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco but following some spectacular displays in the Champions League last season, has attracted interest from the likes of AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Internazionale, PSG, Newcastle United and West Ham.

The player’s agent also confirmed that many teams are interested in signing his client which means that Liverpool should be looking to act quickly.

His agent Abdelkader Jilani said: “They are one of the interested parties, like Milan, Inter, Juventus and Liverpool.”
