Raheem Sterling disappointed with Liverpool exit

The winger secured a big money move to Manchester City under acrimonious circumstances but maintains that he never intended to leave on such a sour note

Liverpool received 49 million pounds to take the pain of losing their star winger who at one stage threatened to go on strike if the club did not allow him to leave. After rejecting a lucrative contract offer by the Reds, the England international finally got his move and is currently with his new team who are on tour in Australia.

However, the youngster says that he regrets the way his transfer has unfolded.

“I was a bit disappointed how I left,” he told Fox Sports Australia.

“That was the main problem I’ve had with the situation – how I’ve left it with Liverpool.

“I’m good with everyone at the football club, the manager, the players and I wish them well for the new season.

“But it was really disappointing how it did finish off.”
