Liverpool make move for Marco Reus

Following the departure of Raheem Sterling, the Reds are keen to add a new winger to the squad and are now keeping tabs on the German international

Reports claim that Brendan Rodgers is desperate to properly replace the new Manchester City signing and feels that Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus is exactly the type of player who will fill the void left by the departure of Sterling and can do even better than the Englishman.

However, it remains to be seen whether Reus would welcome the prospect of playing at a club that failed to qualify for the Champions League. As things stand, Reus will have the chance to play in the Europa League and with Real Madrid still keeping tabs on him, the former Borussia Monchengladbach man might not entertain the possibility of making a switch to Anfield.

Moreover, with Mats Hummels and Neven Subotic set to stay for next season, it is clear that Liverpool will have a lot of convincing to do.
