Arsenal, Liverpool and United target Alexandre Lacazette agrees to pen new deal with Lyon

According to reports in France, the Les Gones star has acquiesced to renew his contract with the French club and it is very likely that he will sign a new deal within the next few days.

The 24-year-old French striker has been one of the hottest prospects of the summer transfer windows, with many European heavyweights interested in acquiring his services including Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

The young Frenchman scored 27 league goals last season to put the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Edinson Cavani behind to become the Ligue 1 top-scorer and clinch the Player of the Season award.

Earlier this week, the young Frenchman had been linked with reports stating that he wants to leave Olympique Lyonnais. However, it is understood now that Lacazette will still be wearing Lyon’s colours when Ligue 1 resumes on 10th August. This latest news will be a major blow for Van Gaal who will now have to make sure that he concludes a deal for Barcelona forward Pedro.
