Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has made a personal approach to cajole young talent Jordan Ibe to choose Nigeria over England.
The newly-appointed Nigeria manager personally visited Liverpool training ground in an attempt to persuade him to switch his international allegiance. Liverpool’s Jordan Ibe, who grew up in London, is one of the hottest prospect of Premier League.
The 19-year-old London-born winger has already represented England at Under-18, U19 and U20s stage and football pundits believe that it is only a matter of months before Ibe is called up by coach Roy Hodgson for international duties. However, Jordan Ibe can still play for Nigeria, since he hasn’t played for the senior English team.
England Under-21 coach Gary Southgate is now likely to hold meeting in next few days with the Liverpool star to persuade him to snub Nigeria offer.
Jordan Ibe made 12 appearances for the Reds last season, however coach Brendan Rodgers has indicated that Ibe will have a key role to play for Merseysude club over the coming months.
