According to latest reports, Adama Traore has rejected interest from the Reds to sign for the Villans.
The 19-year-old winger has been the subject of interest from number of Premier League clubs, with reports claiming last week that Liverpool are in pole position to acquire the services of Traore.
There have also been speculations that he attended dinner with the Britannia Stadium crew last week, and multiple reports suggested that Manchester City, Everton and Southampton to be keen to bring the winger to their respective clubs.
However, Spanish newspapers confirm that Aston Villa have beaten Liverpool and Stoke City to sign Traore. Initial reports claim that the Spanish titans Barcelona have set €6 million release clause for the their young starlet.
The Catalan club’s transfer chief spoke to the media that it was now up to the player himself to decide whether he wanted to stay at the club or move on.
“[Adama] has a release clause of €6m which it is clear that some clubs can take on,” Robert said. “He could leave, but is something he must decide himself. The market is like that.”
