The Italian striker Mario Balotelli has turned down the offers from SS Lazio and UC Sampdoria as he is due a six-figure loyalty sum from Liverpool FC.
The Serie A teams made an offer for the Italian International on loan were turned down. The 25-year-old forward is due a huge sum as soon as the transfer window closes, as per the loyalty clause in the contract he signed when he moved from San Siro to Anfield last summer.
However, the Premier League club seems least interested in retaining the Italian player as they are willing to offer 60 percent of his wages to Lazio or Sampdoria if he strikes a deal with anyone of them.
Ballotelli has not been in the best of his form since he moved from Italy last year and has started only six games for Reds this year scoring only one goal. Currently, he is Brendan Rodgers’ sixth choice in the strike for Liverpool.
