Liverpool reject Roma bid for Mamadou Sakho

The English club has chosen not to send the France international to the Italian Serie A giants

Apparently, Roma manager, Rudi Garcia is very keen on signing the former Paris Saint-Germain man for a season long loan. The defender was left on the bench by the Reds manager, Brendan Rodgers for the team’s first game of the season against Stoke City as Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren were chosen to be paired up in defense.

Lovren was critcised for his performances last season despite being given countless opportunities in his first year with the Merseyside giants and it was surprising to see him being preferred ahead of Sakho who was decent enough last term.

Despite this, Rodgers is not willing to let Sakho leave Merseyside and is willing to let the player stay at the club and earn his place in the starting XI.
