Liverpool might be able to make money on their fallen soldier Lucas Leiva as Turkish outfit Basiktas FC are set to make a bid for him.
The Black Eagles will be more than happy to take Leiva on their payroll as they have an injury crisis in their midfield. Both Tolgay Arslan and Veli Kavlak are out until the year-end. With them gone out of the picture for some time, the Black and White are vulnerable in the middle.
The Super Lig giants are forwarding the talks with the Reds through their agent Ahmet Bulut who was responsible for landing German international Mario Gomez at Vodafone Arena.
Leiva has been injury prone during the whole campaign last season and had fallen in the pecking order for boss Brendan Rodgers. This might be reason he may come cheap for the Istanbul-based club.
The Brazilian midfielder was not on the team that featured in the 1-0 marry season opener for the Reds against Stoke City.
