Illarramendi might become reality for the Reds

There might be a ray of hope for Liverpool FC to sign the Spanish midfielder Asier Illarramendi as Real Madrid make a move for Inter Milan playmaker Mateo Kovacic.

It all started with Real Madrid making a move on Inter’s Kovacic as a replacement for the Spaniard. On the other hand the Serie A outfit are looking to fill in the vacancy with the Reds’ fallen hero Lucas Leiva. The Brazilian had been injury prone throughout last season. However, the Italians see a silver lining in the move.

On the other hand, Turkish outfit Basiktas JK are also attempting to net the Brazilian and if that happens, the dominos effect might end before it reaches Anfield.

If Brandan Rodgers plays clever, he will not lose Lucas Leiva so cheap as to leave the midfield spot vacant. The series of transfers in Spain, Italy and England might be something that would get the Reds Illarramendi.
