Brendan Rodgers not happy with draw

The Liverpool manager believes that his team deserved a win at the Emirates against Arsenal after a goalless draw last night.

The former Swansea City manager was left to rue the many opportunities his team missed which resulted in the Reds leaving North London with just a point to show for their efforts on Monday night.

Indeed, the Reds could have scored at least two goals before the break had it not been for PetrCech who denied Philippe Coutinho and Christian Benteke with two really spectacular saves.

However, Rodgers feels that his team could have bagged all three points.

“We definitely could have had all three points,” the Northern Irishman told the press.

“I was very happy with how we worked in the first-half in particular. We created chances and should have been in front.

“We had a period of 15 minutes when Petr made some fantastic saves. Christian was stretching and made as much contact with the ball as he could, but it was a great save.”
