Dejan Lovren’s weekend went from bad to worse as the Reds defender was forced to delete his Instagram account after receiving masses of abuse from Liverpool fans.
Lovren’s horrific performance for Liverpool in their loss against West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday was woeful and laughable at times.
Following Liverpool’s solid start to the Premier League season where Dejan played a crucial part in the Reds three clean sheets, he gifted the Hammers with their second goal of the game in the first half.
The Croatian defender who is under severe pressure at Anfield certainly fighting for his career on Merseyside and should surely be dropped from Liverpool’s first team.
Brenden Rodgers claimed that he was disappointed and did not expect for Liverpool to perform the way that they did, but he refused to assess the performance of individual players.
“West Ham were good and we couldn’t cope. But we have to look at the mistakes and improve them as a unit. When you win as a team, you also have to lose as team.”
“I am sure the team is going to bounce back and come back stronger.”
