United line up bids for Fellaini and Fabregas

New Manchester United boss David Moyes is set to jump all guns blazing into the transfer market this summer with an audacious move worth in the region of £50million to bring Everton’s Marouanne Fellaini and Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas. to Old Trafford.

Moyes wants to overhaul United’s midfield and sees the pair as offering the perfect balance as both are capable of providing goals as well as  sitting deeper and dictating play.

United have already bid £26million for Fabregas, £1million more than Barcelona paid for him in 2011 but the player will only consider moving back to England if the Catalan club tell him that he can move on, indicating that Tito Vilanova does not consider the former Arsenal captain to be central to his future plans.

Fabregas has not had any contact with United and was not expecting the bid according to his representatives in Spain and has not expressed any desire to move as of yet meaning any move would depend on Barcelona backtracking on their claim that ‘the player is not transferable’.

The former Arsenal man said earlier this summer that he has no desire to leave the Camp Nou so any deal will hinge on the club expressing to him that he doesn’t have a future with them.

Moyes has retained an interest in Fellaini since moving to United but the deal was put on the back burner while he attempted to put together a proposal to bring Leighton Baines with him to Old Trafford.

Fellaini was brought to Goodison Park from Standard Liege in a deal worth £15million and any offer for his services would have to be in the region of £2million as the club look to hold onto their prize assets for the Roberto Martinex era.

The Belgian international and his agent have expressed their desire to join a Champions League club since he has impressed at the Toffees, scoring 12 goals last term.

Moyes has also reportedly considered bidding for former Tottenham Hotspur play Luka Modric but it is thought that the player wants to remain at Real Madrid after enduring a frustrating first season at Los Blancos.

Moyes also recently missed out on bringing another Barcelona midfielder to Old Traffoed when Thiago Alcantara joined Bayern Munch for £22million in what was seen as a big loss for United’s plans but it has now emerged that Moyes may have delayed on signing hte 22 year old until other options were fully examined, leaving Munich to close the deal.
