Real Madrid start thrifty with David de Gea bid

They might have been very desperate to get their hands on Manchester United’s number 1 David de Gea but it appears that Real Madrid are not really going to go for an audacious bid in order to get their hands on the Spain international.

Reports claim that the La Liga giants have made an initial offer of 13 million pounds for the United custodian and it is very likely that the Red Devils will turn down the bid without blinking an eye. Louis van Gaal is keen on holding on to the star man but has said that he will not stand in his way if he wants to leave Old Trafford. However, the club says that it will sell the player for the right amount and the first bid is something that might have offended the owners who want at least 30 million euros for the player.

It has also been reported that Madrid will come back with an improved offer later today as they look to settle the deal once and for all.
