Man United closing in on Barcelona starlet

With David de Gea about to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid, Louis van Gaal is all set to make a few moves in the transfer window to bring in a suitable replacement. With the likes of Hugo Lloris and Jasper Cillisen touted for moves to Old Trafford, the Dutch tactician also has one eye on the future and is keen on a relatively unknown goalkeeper at the Masia academy in  Barcelona.

16 year old Iñaki Peña is considered as one of the most talented shot stoppers of his age group in Europe and United are looking to bring him to their academy and are willing to offer him a 500% pay raise in order to leave Catalonia.

And with the club’s academy currently unable to produce a keeper who could play for the senior team in the near future, Van Gaal is willing to explore other avenues to bring in a custodian who in a few years, can wear the club’s colours.
