Nani set to leave Old Trafford

According to reports, Portugal international, Nani is set to end his Manchester United career with rumours circulating that the former Sporting Lisbon winger could be on the verge of sealing a lucrative move to Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahce.

Reports also claim that the Turks would be willing to pay United six million pounds for the winger who spent last season on loan at Sporting CP and despite returning to his parent club, has been told that he has no future here.

Touted as the new Cristiano Ronaldo when he was signed by the club for 17 million pounds in 2008, Nani failed to live up to his billing and has often cut a frustrating figure at Old Trafford largely due to his inability to perfectly adapt to the United way of playing football.

And although he was in good form last season, it is clear that he cannot force his way into LVG’s plans.
