In a piece of news that is likely to send shock waves around the globe should it prove to be true, Manchester United are reportedly edging closer to agreeing a move with Real Madrid for their star defender, Sergio Ramos.
The Spain international has reportedly turned down a new deal with the Galacticos and is believed to be weighing up his options, including the chance to play in the Premier League before his form deserts him. The defender has reportedly been speaking with Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal who would love to have the World Cup winner with him at Old Trafford.
According to reports, the Red Devils are willing to offer the former Seville man a really lucrative contract worth 165,000 pounds a week which would be enough to convince him into leaving Santiago Bernabeu. Chelsea and Manchester City are also keen on signing the player but Ramos is more inclined towards a move to the Theater of Dreams.
