Turkish Super Lig giants, Besiktas are hot on the trails of Netherlands international, Robin van Persie and are keen on bringing the Manchester United striker to Turkey as they bid to make a serious title assault next season.
The former Arsenal man struggled for game time last season and according to reports, might be allowed to leave Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal no more sees him as a player who can guarantee him 20 goals every season. RVP himself is seriously considering the possibility of playing elsewhere next season and will not be against the idea of playing for Besiktas where he will be guaranteed game time.
And the Turkish club’s director is also keen on bringing the striker to his club.
Yalcin Kaya Yilmaz told HaberTurk: “If the conditions are right and if he also wants to come we are willing to make an offer even if it would push us to the limit financially.
“He would really get the crowd going at the Arena and sales from season tickets and merchandise alone would be able to make back our investment.”
