The Manchester United legend believes that the Argentine’s performances for the Red Devils last season are not a true reflection of his ability
The Englishman is confident that the former Real Madrid attacker will come back stronger than ever for the Red Devils next season despite the fact that he failed to live up to his potential in his debut campaign in the Premier League.
Inconsistency made him a disposable asset in the second half of the campaign but Paddy Crerand says that getting injured at the wrong time also affected the player’s performances and added that the Di Maria from last season is way different from the actual Di Maria who he feels is one of the best players in the world.
“You look at Di Maria. That’s not the Di Maria, the one we saw last year. He’s a far better player than that. Maybe the experience of playing here for that year will help him this coming year. The sad thing is he’s got injured at the wrong time.”
