Manchester United in talks with Nicolas Gaitan

The Red Devils are really keen on bringing the Argentine to Old Trafford and are currently talking with the player’s representative and current club, Benfica

This piece of information was confirmed by Rafael’s agent Cassiano Perreira who is reportedly also looking for a new club for his client following the arrival of Matteo Darmian from Italian Serie A side, Torino.

Manchester United have been asked by Benfica to pay 35 million euros to sign Gaitan but the Red Devils are hoping that they can use their want away right back as part of the deal in order to lower down the asking price.

“Benfica and Manchester United are in negotiations over Gaitan and one offer includes Rafael to join Benfica,” Cassiano Pereira told Record before admitting that his client is really keen on joining the Portuguese giants.

“Rafael wants to join Benfica. It’s a big European club. If the talks proceed, it will not be difficult to reach an agreement.”
