After weeks of rumours, Louis van Gaal has been successful in convincing the France international to leave Southampton for the Red Devils
The 25 year old midfielder has been one of the most consistent players in the Premier League over the past two seasons and after initially attracting considerable interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, has chosen to sign a four year deal with Manchester United where he will be challenging the likes of Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Bastian Schweinsteiger for a place in the starting XI.
Speaking during his unveiling, the former Strasbourg man stated that once United showed interest in him, he was always going to sign for them.
“Once I learned United were interested in me, it was a very easy decision to make,” Schneiderlin told the club’s official website.
Reports claim that LVG’s side have paid Southampton 25 million pounds for the stylish midfielder whose addition will add extra depth to what is looking a really strong squad that will be challenging for domestic dominance next season.
