Wayne Rooney hints at MLS move in future

The Manchester United striker says that he would entertain the possibility of playing in the Major Soccer League in the future

After seeing the likes of David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Jermaine Defoe, Frank Lampard and David Villa play in the North America, the Manchester United captain feels that he will also consider playing in the MLS when the time is right for him.

However, the striker maintains that he will consider a switch to the MLS only to finish his career there and is not planning on playing the best years of his football in North America, something that is quite common with most of the stars these days.

“I’m obviously concentrating on Manchester United,” Rooney told the Seattle Times. “When that time comes, that [MLS] will be something that I will think about.

“I’ll sit down with my wife and children and decide if it would be right for me.”
