West Ham set to sign Javier Hernandez

The Hammers have reportedly made an £11.9 million transfer offer to sign the Manchester United striker.

After returning from a season-long loan at Real Madrid, it is quite clear the Mexican striker is unlikely to secure a spot in Van Gaal’s regular starting XI, and is looking for the exit doors from Old Trafford.

This has piqued the interest of many top-notch clubs, including Spurs, Orlando City, Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa. However, the Hammers are the top-favorites to seal the deal with the Mexican forward.

Hernandez is seen as a perfect signing for West Ham, who are in dire need of a quality striker, following a serious injury to Enner Valencia which has ruled the Ecuadorian out until December. Last season, the Mexican International scored a respectable tally of nine goals in 35 appearances for Real Madrid, despite playing as second fiddle to Karim Benzema.
