The Black Cats have opened talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Januzaj and latest reports suggest that it is very likely that Sunderland will acquire the services of Belgian winger.
20-year -old Adnan Januzaj landed at Old Trafford in 2013 and impressed the fans with a brace of goals in his debut season. Under former United boss David Moyes, the Belgian was an integral part of the squad.
However last season, under LVG’s management, Januzaj failed to live up to LVG’s performance standards and spent most of his time warming up the bench, with the Dutchman preferring midfielders like Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata and Ashley Young for the team. And with the arrival of Dutch winger Memphis Depay, it seems quite vivid that Januzaj will have to get used to the bench.
Everton are also keen to bring the Januzaj to bring Goodison Park, however Sunderland are reportedly in pole position to land the Januzaj deal. Januzaj’s signature would strengthen Dick Advocaat’s attacking options for 2015-16 season, as he looks to add more creativity to a squad that struggled to find the back of the net last term.
