Manchester United star Ashley Young, who just penned a 3-year-deal with Red Devils, has picked up his five-a-side team.
The 30-year-old winger includes Daley Blind, Michael Carrick, Juan Mata and skipper Wayne Rooney in his stellar five-a-side-squad. Young however failed to name a goalkeeper despite having five Manchester United goalkeepers at his disposal.
“I need a defender in there… I’ll put Daley back there,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s tough, can I do a bench as well?! OK, I’d also include Carras, Wazza and Juan.”
He added: “The small-sided games because there is a fun element to them and there’s also the competitive angle where you want to impress and get in the team.
“Everything we do in training when it has a competitive element makes it feel like game day. Everyone wants to win and people get upset when they don’t!
“If you have that in training then you take it out onto the pitch on match day.”
