According to latest reports, the 29-year-old Argentine midfielder is on the verge of becoming the sixth summer signing of Dutch Manager Louis Van Gaal.
Manchester United have already embellished their midfield by the likes of World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger and French International Morgan Schneiderlin. But rumours have been rife that Van Gaal is still keen to acquire the signature of Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia.
The former Dutch manager reportedly inquired about Lazio ace and now it is believed that Manchester United are set to sign the Argentine International for a fee speculated to be around £21 million.
Lucas Biglia arrived to Serie A side Lazio from Anderlecht in 2013 and has established himself as a key player of the team. He was recently awarded the club’s captain badge as well.
Upon receiving the skipper’s role, Biglia was quoted saying:
“Does the fact I accepted the captain’s armband mean I will definitely stay? I don’t know.
“It doesn’t depend on me. I am here and working hard and thinking about tomorrow’s game. After that anything can happen.
