No move for Lloris on cards, says Pochettino

Before the summer transfer window commenced Tottenham Hotspurs goal keeper Hugo Lloris became apple of Manchester United’s eye. Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino, however, has mooted the rumours warning Louis Van Gaal that his number one will stay at White Hart Lane.

Amid the rumours lurking around Old Trafford about David De Gea’s possible move to his home town, United has been looking for alternatives for a first choice goalie.

With no Champions League this year for the Hotspurs, Lloris might have given a vibe that he is looking at future options to further his career in Europe. But boss Pochettino has cleared the air for good.

“There are a lot of rumours,” Pochettino said, “but Hugo is very happy to be here. His commitment with the club is high. I think we need to be happy because if Manchester United want Lloris, it’s because he’s a great goalkeeper. We have a very good goalkeeper, but Hugo has a contract here and he is happy here and he wants to get success here.”
