The rumours of John Stones’ move to either Manchester or London is catching wind. Chelsea fear that the two Manchester-based clubs are planning to snatch the deal from them.
The Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho has been looking to reinforce the defense and has recently signed Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman, who passed the medical exam ahead of his contract signing.
Although there have been two failed attempts from Stamford Bridge to make business with Everton, Mourinho seems keen to make another move of £30m which is likely to be rejected as well. Rumour has it that at least £34m might change the Toffees mind on sending Stones off.
Until now, the statements from Goodison Park have been clear that they are not interested in selling Stones.
Meanwhile, in Manchester both clubs on either side of the road are planning to sabotage the Chelsea deal, who recently claimed the 2014-15 Premier League. Their plan is to bid higher than Chelsea to ensure that the center-back does not go to Stamford Bridge.
