The former Manchester United captain has raised concern over club’s lack of options up front with only Wayne Rooney and Chicharito as two recognised strikers in the squad.
Manchester United have spent heavily in the transfer market this summer once more but they have strengthen other areas. And after allowing Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao leave in the summer, Manchester United are short of firepower according to Gary Neville.
The former England international was of the view that Manchester United still need another defender but most importantly, they need another striker if they seriously want to mount a title challenge this season.
Although they are going to play Adnan Januzaj in striker’s position this season, Neville is still not convinced that his former club can win trophies with that. Neville is worried that if Rooney gets injured and their first choice centre-back is injured, that will leave Manchester United in heaps of trouble this season.
