This is the second summer Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller has been linked with Manchester United. Now United Executive Vice Chairman has been rumoured to have pushed forward a deal for the German international.
Ever since Louis Van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford, the club has been attached to rumours about Muller’s move to the British outfit and it cannot denied that the 25-year-old has always been the Dutchman’s favourite.
Even so, Van Gaal paved the path for Muller to land at Bayern Munich even before his own arrival at the Bundesliga franchise in 2009. The German attacker stayed with his club ever since.
However, former Dutch international team manager has been making all sorts of moves since last summer to bring Muller to England and now Woodward has taken a step forward. It is alleged that the Vice Chairman has made a hefty €85m deal, which if ever sealed this year would make Muller the marquee signing of the summer.
On the other hand it is also said that this might be a publicity stunt from Germany as Bayern have made it clear time and again they are not interested in selling Muller.
