Manchester United’s negotiations with Pedro Rodriguez are moving forward as Executive Vice Chairman Edward Woodward is in Spain to finalize the deal with the Spaniard. Former United midfielder Bryan Robson agrees.
Pedro is a world class striker with a lethal combination of agility and skills but it is unfortunate for the Spain international that he has to compete with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez for first team appearances. Therefore, it can be said with confidence that he is not very happy with the club management not the club.
Robson said that the 28-year-old signing would bring the required depth to the club and it should be done soon so that Pedro can start off the Premiership career right from the start of the season.
“I think we definitely need another striker, because if we get injuries to Memphis or Chicharito or Rooney,” Robson said. “We’re very short on strikers at the moment, so I think Pedro would be a very good signing for United at this time.”
