The Manchester United manager took his usual stance when the media asked him about the club’s interest in the Barcelona forward
Louis van Gaal again refused to give a straight answer when reporters asked him about the possibility of bringing Brazil international Neymar to the club. Reports on Friday claimed that the Red Devils were considering making a move for the former Santos man after seeing Pedro’s bid hijacked by Chelsea.
However, Louis van Gaal once again evaded questions about another transfer target and simply stated that he will not enter such a discussion.
“I don’t enter in this discussion. You can ask about all the players in the world and you are doing it every press conference and every press conference I have to say the same.
“I have to protect the interests of Manchester United, I have to protect the players in my selection, I have to protect the people in my organisation, and you can say anything, you can mention every player but I cannot anwer these questions.
“So that’s the difficulty. I know your problem because the media wants to know that but I cannot say that.”
