Paco Buyo says that Louis van Gaal and co have been really stubborn with the club over the transfer of David de Gea
However, the legendary shot stopper believes that Real Madrid have more than enough options in the squad even if the Red Devils persist with their stubborness over the transfer of their current number 1. De Gea’s move has hit a snag in recent weeks with the English giants unwilling to let their star man leave for a cheap price.
However, Buyo says that the likes of Keylor Navas and Kiko Casillas are great options for the Blancos while also adding that Iker Casillas deserved better from Madrid.
“It seems De Gea will play for Real. This season? Possibly,” he told Omnisport. “If Van Gaal and United are not too stubborn and they don’t ask for too much money, De Gea will come this season. Otherwise, Real Madrid just can wait three months and sign him for free and Manchester will earn nothing.
He added: “Real don’t have any problem having two goalkeepers. Both of them are great. Navas had a fantastic season at Levante two years ago and then with Costa Rica at the World Cup. It seems Navas could be the starter.”
