Memphis bemoans Manchester United finishing

The young Dutchman admits that his team needs to work a lot on finishing off games if they aspire to challenge for the league title

The young attacker was in amazing form for the Red Devils in the Champions League outing against Club Brugge but was unable to replicate that performance against Newcastle United as his team was held to a goalless draw by Steve McLaren’s side who deserved to leave Old Trafford with a point.

And Memphis Depay says that it was indeed a frustrating afternoon for him and his teammates.

“We started great and sharp and we created some chances but didn’t finish them. The second half also we created some more chances but again we didn’t finish it so that was the frustration.

“When you look back you have to say it was one of those days but we have to start finishing.”
