Javier Hernandez has singled out Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United chief scout Jim Lawlor for special praise but has chosen to give the cold shoulder to Louis van Gaal and David Moyes.
The Bayer Leverkusen new boy was unveiled at the club and was given a chance to speak about his time at Manchester United and his brief spell at Real Madrid too.
‘I want to go back to feeling important and happy,’ said Hernandez. ‘I want to find happiness.
‘Bayer made me feel important and loved and coming here was not a difficult decision to make. They made me feel wanted.’
Hernandez, who won two Premier League titles during his five-year stint at United, is not the only player to aim a parting shot at Van Gaal.
Robin van Persie, Rafael Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao have all criticised Van Gaal’s coaching style after leaving the club this summer.
