Manchester United have named Victor Valdes in the Premier League squad after exempting his name from the Champions League.
Valdes has been ostracised by Louis Van Gaal after the coach alleged that he refused to play for the club’s Under 21s side and was subsequently left of their pre-season tour to USA.
He has been training and dining on his own yet vowed to continue ‘working hard’ despite his dire situation at United.
The Catalan tweeted saying: ‘No matter what happens. The only way I know is to work hard every day. Thank you all for your support!’
Spain coach Vicente del Bosque revealed he considered selecting the keeper for the national side despite his inaction.
He said: ‘I very nearly picked Valdes in the squad and wish I had because he’s having a tough time and needs support.’
Now it seems like Louis Van Gaal has softened and finally there is a way back for the Spanish goalkeeper.
