PSG set to trump Manchester United with £90 million for Ronaldo

Paris Saint Germain could be about to hand new manager, Laurent Blanc, the perfect welcome gift with the signing of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star has been linked with a sensational return to Manchester United amid rumours that he is discontent in the Spanish capital. Talks were reported to have taken place between officials from the Premier League Champions and the La Liga outfit last week.

The attacking midfielder’s contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2015 and although the player recently took to twitter to dispel talk he had signed a new contract he is believed to be happy at the club.

That said the Ronaldo has refused to quell rumours that he is ready to commit to the Spanish giants recently speaking of his love for Manchester United, I miss English football,”

“For me, it was one of the best years in my career when I was there in Manchester United. Everyone knows that it is a club that is still in my heart and I really, really miss”.

However in a sensational new development the 28 year old could now be set for Paris and not Manchester with PSG ready to offer a stunning £90 million pound to land the forward.

The Ligue 1 side are keen to make their mark on the transfer window having seen newly promoted Monaco dominate the headlines with a number of marquee signings including a former reported target Falcao.

The successful capture of Ronaldo would catapult the club back to the top of the French football and would send out a serious message to the rest of Europe.

The Parisians would be able to trump any financial rewards that would be on offer at Old Trafford and with a more cosmopolitan lifestyle available in Paris the lure of PSG could very well become a reality for Ronaldo.

Rumours of a departure from the Bernabeu will continue to dominate European newspaper columns the more time taken by Ronaldo to agree a new deal and the players future will be one of the key decisions that new Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will need to focus on.

At his unveiling the former AC Milan coach revealed his intention to keep hold of the mercurial star but his, and the club’s, resolve could be tested with a big money offer from PSG.
