Punters quick to take up Paddy Power offer as busy weekend attracts flurry of activity from customers

The Premiership returns for another bumper round of fixtures as Paddy Power report they are expecting a busy weekend of turnover, with a full football coupon for customers, as well as the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury.

With Christmas less than a month away the firm is bracing itself for a flurry of increased turnover as punters look to take advantage of some top class sporting events in the calendar, and with plenty of variation, there’s definitely something for every customer.

A spokesman commented :

“December is traditionally a busy year for us with some big festive sporting events to look forward to – not only do we have a busy football coupon, but also some important Cheltenham Festival pointers, including the Tingle Creek at Sandown and the King George Meeting at Kempton on Boxing Day.

Throw in a sprinkling of World Darts and Champions League and there is something there for everyone..its not all about the turkey..

…Of course, with the advent of mobile our customers can now bet on the go and in play, with punters able to place their bet whilst seated in the ground.

We expect this form of interaction with our customers to only increase over the coming months. Its the way forward…”

This weekend looks to continue the trend, kicking off with no less than six Premier League games, as league leaders Arsenal travel to Wales to take on Cardiff, while Newcastle take on West Brom at St James’s in the evening kickoff live on Sky Sports 1.

Malky McKay’s side have already claimed some impressive scalps at home this season, defeating Manchester City and claiming a well deserved draw with Manchester United last weekend, as Arsene Wenger looks to consolidate the Gunners a the top of the pile.

Those expecting another shock in the Welsh capital can take the odds of 6/1 on the home win.

Sunday sees Manchester United travel to White Hart Lane to take on Andres Villas-Boas’s Tottenham side, in a game which looks the pick of the ties this weekend.

David Moyes’s side are certainly looking title contenders after a sluggish start, and after demolishing Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 in the Champions League midweek the Red Devils will be looking to compound Spurs’ recent woes with victory in the noon kickoff.

Their price of 13/8 is certainly to attract plenty of support after a disappointing set of recent domestic results for Spurs.

Those who prefer the oval ball have some quality action to look forward to from Cardiff, as Wales entertain Australia in the final Autumn Rugby International of the series.

After an exhilerating Ireland v New Zealand game last week in Dublin, it will be up to the Welsh to claim the only Southern Hemisphere scalp of the series in the evening kickoff (17:00) at the Millenium Stadium.

Plenty of money has come in for the home side as patriotic punters have pushed the price on Wales into evens.

It certainly is another busy weekend and sports fans, and  for Paddy Power it seems, another significant increase in turnover.
